In a forehead lift or brow lift, the muscles and tissues that cause the furrowing or drooping are removed or altered to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows, and minimize frown lines. Dr. Yang may use the conventional surgical method, in which the incision is hidden just behind the hairline. Alternatively, he may perform this type of cosmetic surgery with a direct approach, using an upper eyelid type incision. Both methods of brow lift surgery are commonly used today, and both have the same effect of creating a more youthful face.
